In 2021\, Alyss joined the Dementia Spotlight Foundation leadership team by assuming the role of Associate Executive Director. \nShe supports the Foundation by increasing awareness and serving as the director of the DSF Connection Cafe in Roswell. Connection Cafes (Memory Cafes) provide a safe and comfortable space where care partners and those living with dementia can socialize through appropriate activities. Alyss also serves as co-chair of the Speakers Bureau of Adult Children of Aging Parents (ACAP) of Cobb-Cherokee.
